“This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: ‘I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.'” (2 Kings 20:5)
As time progressed Jude was still having to cope with the fluctuations in her menopause and with many good and bad days, she got on with life even holding a job down as a domestic cleaner.
It was a just another normal week and Jude was cleaning a customer’s home. It was while she was cleaning the kitchen that she suddenly felt so debilitated she could not cope anymore. At that moment she felt God speak to her. He said, “Give it to me!”.
In the book Intercessors Rees Howell’s says: “There is a law, when you can carry a burden no longer, The Holy Spirit must take it”
We had been praying so much over the years but this time Jude felt it was audible! Obediently, Jude did just that and later returned home and shared the story with me.
On the Friday afternoon we were preparing to go for our weekly shop and whilst getting ready Jude went out the back to give the dogs a kick with the ball. She was suddenly overwhelmed by what she would call and later give testimony to-a ‘Whoosh’-that went right through her body. Immediately she knew she had been healed and that God had touched her. When she came through the door, I seemed to instinctively know something had happened to her and said, “God has just healed you!”.
Jude had indeed just been supernaturally healed by the hand of God and was then able to get back on with her life. Jesus said: “…. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”. John 10:10
As I close this chapter, I feel a need to leave a prayer for you now. If you have a great need, not necessarily menopausal conditions, just open your hands now and repeat this prayer.
Prayer
Dear LORD Jesus, You are the same yesterday, today & forever,
You still heal today for nothing is impossible with you,
I simply come now and give you my current condition no matter what the doctors have said.
Like Jude, I give it to you & await the fulfilment of your word.
I give you thanks and I desire you take all the glory.
