“You know my methods Watson”
Like the famous sleuth, the consultant was extremely thorough and what followed were various tests, scans, consultations and investigations. It must have cost a fortune but thank God we had this policy and the grace of God. I attended every consultation, but I did sense at one point he wanted to speak to Jude privately, (as though I could be the problem!). On hindsight, many years later, I realised he had been looking at every angle and did not rule out that the husband may be the problem !- pretty scary!
After all the tests and investigations, he came to the conclusion that it, “would pass”, and so we left the hospital knowing at least one thing-it wasn’t terminal and that somehow, by the mercies of God, it would one day come to an end.
How true that would turn out but the answer would come through The Great Physician!
Prayer
Father, unlike doctors who can spend days, weeks & even months to find the reason for illness in their patient, You, as the great Physician who formed us in our mother’s womb already know us intimately. You have the blueprint of our bodies and like so many times because of prayer, you can heal us instantly or guide the medical profession to the right conclusion.
Again, I pray for those reading these chapters who may be sick, even with the menopause, frustrated and still waiting for answers that they will be patient and put their trust in you to bring them through.
